Agency AI policy library
Crafted's AI policy, read and compared
Three principles with a bias checklist for prompts and outputs, ISO 27001 data handling, and a rule against using AI where it adds nothing.
“We also appreciate that AI, like many things in digital, requires processing power. Therefore, we avoid using it unnecessarily in order to reduce our consumption and subsequent environmental impact.”Read the policy on crafted.co.uk

What it commits to, in its own words
1 of the 8 commitments the library compares. Each is ticked only because the policy states it as Crafted's own practice; the words under it are quoted from the policy.
- Explains when a client asks
- “If you have any questions related to our use of AI please reach out to your Crafted contact”
- When the client asks: how other agencies word it
Not stated in the policy as we read it
- Human review. A person reviews, edits or approves AI-assisted work before the client sees it or it goes live.
- Client data rule. A concrete rule on what client confidential or personal information may go into an AI tool.
- Says what AI never does. Names work the agency does not hand to AI (strategy, final creative, publishing, and the like).
- Ownership and originality. Addresses copyright, ownership, originality checks, or consent for using a person's image or voice.
- Named owner. Names the person, role or group accountable for how the agency uses AI.
- Client can limit AI. Clients can limit or exclude AI on their work, or the agency follows the client's own AI rules.
- Names its tools. Names the specific AI tools the agency uses or has approved.
